The British Columbia Entrepreneur Immigration Stream is a program that allows qualified entrepreneurs from around the world to immigrate to the province of British Columbia, Canada, and start or acquire a business. To be eligible for this category, applicants must have business and/or management experience, and if no business experience, must have the equivalent of a 2-year post-secondary diploma, a personal net worth of at least CAD $600,000, and a minimum investment of CAD $200,000 in the proposed business. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate language proficiency, adaptability, and job creation potential. Successful applicants are issued a work permit to enter Canada and start their business, with the opportunity to apply for permanent residency after fulfilling program requirements. Regional Pilot Entrepreneur Category

To be eligible for this category, applicants must have business and/or management experience, a personal net worth of at least CAD $300,000, and a minimum investment of CAD $100,000 in the proposed business. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate language proficiency, adaptability, and job creation potential. Successful applicants are issued a work permit to enter Canada and start their business, with the opportunity to apply for permanent residency after fulfilling program requirements. To be eligible for this program, corporations must demonstrate a significant economic benefit to British Columbia, such as increased investment, job creation, or increased exports. Additionally, the corporation must commit to certain employment standards, including fair wages and working conditions. Once the corporation is approved for the program, it can nominate key foreign employees for permanent residency in Canada, provided that they have the necessary skills and experience to contribute to the corporation’s operations in British Columbia. The BC Strategic Projects program aims to promote economic growth and innovation in the province by attracting foreign investment and talent.
