Base Stream
The BC Base stream is a program under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) that allows experienced entrepreneurs to immigrate to the province of British Columbia, Canada, and establish or purchase a business. This pathway is targeted at individuals who want to start or purchase a business anywhere in British Columbia.

Process |
1. Prepare a Business Proposal |
You must submit a business proposal to establish a new business or purchase of an existing business in British Columbia |
2. Register your Proposal with the BC PNP |
You must first establish a profile in BCPNP Online and then register online. This involves presenting a concise business proposition. There is a $300 non-refundable registration fee. This is a point-based system. You must score a minimum of 40 points in the business concept section. The total score must be at least 115 points to qualify. |

3. Get a Work Permit |
If your request for admission to the BC PNP is granted, you will be provided with a letter of support to use when applying for a work permit. This will allow you and your dependents to come to British Columbia. You have 90 days to apply for a work permit from IRCC. You must arrive in British Columbia within 12 months of obtaining a work permit. |

4. Build your business |
Within 20 months of arriving in Canada you must;

You can now apply to IRCC for permanent residency under the Provincial Nominee Class. |
