Farm Investor Pathway (FIP)
The Farm Investor Pathway (FIP) is a program under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) that targets individuals who are interested in establishing a farm operation in Manitoba. Applicants must have a minimum net worth of $500,000 and be willing and able to make an investment of at least $300,000 in a Manitoba farm operation. Successful applicants receive a Letter of Support from the province of Manitoba, which can be used to apply for a work permit and eventually permanent residency in Canada. The FIP is an important tool for Manitoba to attract and retain experienced farmers who can help grow the province’s agriculture sector and contribute to the province’s food security. It is also an opportunity for individuals who wish to establish themselves and their families in Canada as permanent residents while pursuing their passion for farming in Manitoba.
