Francophone Streams
The Northwest Territories (NWT) Francophone streams are specialized immigration pathways within the NWT Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) that are designed to attract and retain French-speaking immigrants. These streams recognize the importance of the French language and culture in the region and seek to increase the number of Francophones who settle in the NWT.
In addition to meeting the eligibility criteria for the NWT PNP, candidates for the Francophone streams must also demonstrate proficiency in French and have a genuine intention to live and work in the NWT. Successful applicants will receive a nomination from the NWT government, which can then be used to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
Nominee Applicants to this stream are not eligible for nomination through Express Entry.
