International Graduate Entrepreneur
The Nova Scotia International Graduate Entrepreneur (IGE) stream is a pathway for international graduates who have completed their studies in Nova Scotia to start and run a business in the province. The IGE stream is a sub-category of the Entrepreneur stream under the Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). To be eligible for the IGE stream, candidates must have graduated from a recognized Nova Scotia university or college and have started or acquired a business in Nova Scotia with the intention to operate it on a permanent basis.
The IGE stream offers several advantages to international graduates who are interested in starting a business in Nova Scotia. Successful candidates are granted a work permit and can receive a nomination for permanent residency in Canada, which can help them to establish a long-term presence in the country. Additionally, the IGE stream offers tailored support to help entrepreneurs with business planning, mentorship, and access to funding, which can be invaluable in the early stages of business development.
