The Ontario Masters Graduate Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is designed for international students who have completed a master’s degree at an eligible Ontario university. It provides a pathway to permanent residency in Canada for these students, who have the skills and knowledge required to contribute to Ontario’s economy and society. Applicants must have completed a master’s degree or higher in Ontario within the past two years, have legal status in Canada, and have a minimum language proficiency level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 or higher in English or French. Successful applicants will receive a nomination certificate from the Ontario government, which can be used to apply for permanent residency in Canada. The Ontario Masters Graduate PNP is a popular option for international students who want to stay and work in Ontario after completing their studies.

  • For recent graduates with master’s degrees obtained at an eligible Ontario institution who have the intention of living and working in Ontario.
  • Must first register in the OINP’s Expression of Interest System and receive an invitation to apply.
  • Apply online to be nominated by the Ontario government for permanent residence.
  • Next step is to apply to the federal government through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). (Provincial Nominee Program-Non Express Entry).They make the final decision on who becomes a permanent resident.

  • living outside Canada
  • Can not be living in another province in Canada
