Craft Your Legacy: Skilled Trades Opportunities

The Skilled Trades Stream of the Express Entry Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is designed to address the shortage of skilled workers in specific trades in Canada. Applicants must create an Express Entry profile and meet the minimum eligibility requirements for the Federal Skilled Trades Class. They must have at least one year of full-time work experience in a skilled trade, a minimum language proficiency level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 in English or French, and meet the educational requirements for their trade. The applicant must be living in Ontario and hold a valid work permit at the time they apply.

Once a candidate is nominated by the Ontario government, they receive an additional 600 points towards their Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which significantly increases their chances of receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residency in Canada. The Skilled Trades Stream is a popular option for individuals with trade certificates who wish to immigrate to Canada and work in their trade, as well as beneficial for employers in Ontario who need to fill positions in specific skilled trades.
