International Graduate Stream

The Prince Edward Island (PEI) International Graduate stream is part of the PEI Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and is designed to attract international graduates who have completed their studies at a recognized post-secondary institution in PEI. This stream is an excellent pathway for international graduates who wish to remain in Canada permanently and have the skills and education needed to contribute to PEI’s economy.

To be eligible for the PEI International Graduate stream, candidates must have completed a full-time program of at least two years at a recognized post-secondary institution in PEI. They must also have a valid post-graduate work permit and a job offer from a PEI employer in their field of study. In addition, candidates must demonstrate language proficiency in either English or French and have sufficient settlement funds to support themselves and their dependents in PEI.

Successful candidates under this stream will receive a provincial nomination from PEI, which will provide them with additional points toward their application for permanent residency in Canada. With the PEI International Graduate stream, international graduates can gain valuable Canadian work experience and lay the foundation for a successful career in PEI, one of Canada’s most beautiful and welcoming provinces.

Job Offer	Yes Must have a full-time, permanent job offer from their current PEI employer. The job offer must be NOC Skill Level 0, 1, 2 or 3.
Language Proficiency	No minimum
Level of Education	two-year Post-secondary in PEI
Work Experience	Employed in PEI NOC 0, 1, 2 or 3 6 months
Age	Must be between 18 and 59 years
Settlement funds	Must meet the settlement funds requirement of IRCC
Investment Requirement	None
Intention to Reside	Must demonstrate an intention to reside in PEI.

How to apply?

Expressions of Interest are accepted for the International Graduate stream.
Candidates must submit a profile to PEI’s candidate pool if they match the qualifying requirements.
The PEI Labour Impact Category Ranking System will then be used to compare every applicant in the pool against one another.
In one of the category’s recurring draws, the top applicants will be requested to submit a comprehensive application to the stream.
Candidates who are chosen will receive a provincial nomination from PEI.
An applicant has six months to make a federal application for Canadian permanent residency after getting a provincial nomination. Participants in this program are required to fill out a paper application for permanent residency and mail it to the designated application location.
