Quebec Investor Program
The Quebec Investor Program (QIP) is a pathway for high-net-worth individuals who wish to obtain Canadian permanent residency by investing in the province of Quebec. The QIP is designed to attract foreign investors who can contribute to the province’s economy and create jobs for Canadians.
To be eligible for the program, candidates must have a minimum net worth of CAD $2 million, have managerial experience, and be willing to invest CAD $1.2 million in an approved investment fund for a period of five years. The investment is guaranteed by the Quebec government, and applicants do not need to actively manage their investment.
One of the benefits of the QIP is its relatively quick processing times. Once an application is submitted, the Quebec government aims to process it within 12 months. In addition, successful applicants and their families receive Canadian permanent residency, which provides access to Canada’s excellent healthcare, education, and social services.
