  • Outside the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM), the start-up deposit is CDN$25,000.
  • On the territory of the CMM, the start-up deposit is CDN$50,000.
Net worth
  • At least CDN$100,000
  • Can share this net worth with the spouse who is accompanying the applicant to Québec.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the legal origin and accumulation of the net worth.
Intention to reside

The applicant must intend to reside and operate the business in Quebec

If you want to practice a regulated profession or trade in Québec, you must first gain legal permission to do so, even if you hold a degree or license from another province.

Attestation of learning

You will receive a request to obtain an attestation of learning about democratic values and Québec values.

You will have a maximum of 60 days after receiving this request to obtain your attestation.
