Saskatchewan Health Professionals

The Saskatchewan Health Professionals is a subcategory of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) that allows the province to nominate candidates who are healthcare professionals for permanent residency in Canada. To be eligible for the Saskatchewan Health Professionals, candidates must have a job offer from a Saskatchewan employer for a healthcare profession that is in demand in the province, meet the SINP eligibility criteria, and have the necessary education and work experience for the position.

Candidates who are nominated through the Saskatchewan Health Professionals receive an invitation to apply for permanent residency in Canada. This stream is a popular option for healthcare professionals who want to immigrate to Canada with their families and work in the healthcare industry in Saskatchewan. The Saskatchewan Health Professionals helps to address the province’s healthcare needs, attract and retain skilled healthcare workers, and contribute to the local economy.

This stream is for skilled workers who:

  • The applicant must have been working for at least six months (780) full-time (30+ hours per week) for the same employer offering the permanent job and have a temporary work permit as a:
    • Physician
    • Nurse
    • Other health professional
  • Intend to reside in Saskatchewan as a permanent resident.
  • Meet the sub-category criteria.

General Guidelines

All documents must be easy-to-read copies of the original documents.

If it is not in English or French, you must submit:

  • A copy of the original document.
  • A copy of the English or French translation of the document.
  • A copy of an affidavit from the translator, describing their translation ability. (Translator must be Certified by a regulatory body, can not be A family member, A spouse, Anyone who works for or is preparing your application.)

Required Forms

  1. Generic Application Form for Canada (principal applicant only).
  2. Additional Family Information Form (a form completed by both the principal applicant, the accompanying spouse, and accompanying dependent children over 18 years of age).
  3. Schedule A – Background/Declaration (a form is required for the principal applicant, accompanying spouse, and accompanying dependent children over 18 years of age).

Note- if funds are in the name of the spouse and the spouse is not accompanying the principal applicant, need Schedule-A for a spouse.

  1. If you have more than five dependents or children, you must provide this form: Additional Dependents/Declaration
  2. If you have a common-law spouse, you must provide this form: Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union
