Skilled Worker with Existing Work Permit

The Saskatchewan Existing Work Permit is a subcategory of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) that allows the province to nominate candidates who are currently working in Saskatchewan on a valid work permit for permanent residency in Canada. To be eligible for the Saskatchewan Existing Work Permit, candidates must have at least six months of work experience with the same employer, meet the SINP eligibility criteria, and have the necessary education and work experience for the position.

Candidates who are nominated through the Saskatchewan Existing Work Permit receive an invitation to apply for permanent residency in Canada. This stream is a popular option for foreign workers who are already working in Saskatchewan and want to settle permanently in the province with their families. The Saskatchewan Existing Work Permit helps to retain skilled workers in the province, attract new talent, and contribute to the local economy.

This sub-category is for skilled workers who:

  • Have been working in Saskatchewan for at least six months with a valid work permit.
  • Intend to reside in Saskatchewan as a permanent resident.
  • Meet the sub-category criteria.
