Settle with Yukon’s Express Entry

The Yukon Express Entry (EE) stream is a fast-track pathway for highly skilled and experienced individuals who wish to settle in Yukon and become permanent residents of Canada. It is a part of the Yukon Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and is aligned with the federal Express Entry system. To be eligible for the Yukon EE stream, individuals must first create an Express Entry profile and meet the minimum requirements for one of the three federal economic immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, or the Canadian Experience Class.

The Yukon EE stream is a highly competitive program, but it offers a streamlined and efficient pathway to permanent residency for skilled individuals who meet the eligibility criteria.

Program Requirements

Apply to the Express Entry stream to hire a foreign worker

• An employer can find a qualified foreign worker by either:
  • Job Bank; or
  • The Express Entry stream of the Yukon Nominee Program to offer a job to a foreign worker.
• The employer must show enough proof that there is no other qualified Canadian or permanent resident for a position that is vacant.
• The foreign worker must demonstrate that they meet the requirements of either 1 of the 3 Express Entry Economic Immigration programs.
• The foreign worker should create an Express Entry profile. They will then receive an Express Entry Profile Number and, if applicable, a Job Seeker Validation Code.
• The foreign worker should prove they have enough money to support themselves and their family.
• The employer and foreign worker should complete the Yukon Express Entry application.
• The foreign worker should provide the completed application and other documents.
• If the application is successful, the federal government will invite the foreign worker to apply for permanent residence.
