Skilled Opportunities in Yukon

The Yukon Skilled Worker Program is a pathway to permanent residency in Yukon for individuals with the skills, experience, and education needed to fill gaps in the territory’s labor market. The program is designed to help Yukon employers hire and retain workers with the skills they need to grow their businesses, while also providing an opportunity for skilled workers to establish themselves in Yukon and contribute to the territory’s economy.

To be eligible for the Skilled Worker Program, applicants must have a valid job offer from a Yukon employer, meet the language proficiency requirements, have the necessary qualifications and work experience for their chosen occupation, and meet the minimum requirements for settlement funds. The program uses a points-based system to assess candidates based on factors such as their age, education, work experience, language proficiency, and adaptability.

Successful applicants receive a nomination certificate from the Government of Yukon, which can be used to apply for permanent residency in Canada. The Skilled Worker Program is an important pathway for individuals who wish to live and work in Yukon and contribute to the growth of the territory’s economy.
